Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Taylor Made ClearVue Solar-Powered LED Side Mount Post Light. Now this solar-powered LED light is designed to mount onto the side of your dock post to help illuminate your dock at night. It is a nice, durable, clear plastic lens. Allows the sunlight to pass through to the solar panel and charge your battery, but it still gives you a nice elegant look to the light.
There's no sign of seeing the solar panel on it. The solar-powered cell will charge the battery with sunlight throughout the day. Gives you eight hours of illumination on a single full day charge. And it gives you auto on and off. Meaning at dusk it'll turn on, and at dawn, it automatically turns off.It does use three warm white LEDs, which are brighter and longer lasting than incandescent bulbs.
And it is a very simple installation. It is designed to mount on the side of the dock post. Comes with the mounting screws and the anchors to install it. And you can see the two holes that you can hook it on to. Now this does use the AA nickel metal hydride rechargeable battery, which is included.
And that battery can be replaced if need be. Last thing I want to do is give you a few dimensions on this. The length on it from one end to the other is going to be right at six and five eighths inches. The width of it is right at three and a half inches wide. And the total height on the unit is right at about two inches tall.
